Understanding Page Assignment

Page assignment determines where your playlists appear on your Shopify store. Each playlist can be displayed on multiple pages, and each page can host multiple widgets of different types. How Page Assignment Works
  1. Select Your Playlist
    • Navigate to the playlist you want to display on your store pages.
  2. Access Page Assignment
    • Click the “Show On Pages” tab in your playlist interface.
  3. Choose Target Pages
    • Select from your store’s available pages using checkboxes.
  4. Install in Theme Editor
    • Use the ”+ Add Section in theme editor” button to add widgets to your theme.
  5. Verify Installation

Available Page Types

Your Shopify store has several types of pages where widgets can be displayed: Homepage
  • Best for: Maximum visibility and brand introduction
  • Widget Recommendations:
    • Reels: Featured product demonstrations
    • Stories: New arrivals or seasonal highlights
    • Floats: Ongoing promotions or brand storytelling
    • Placement Tips:
      • Position above the fold for immediate visibility
      • Use your most engaging content
      • Ensure fast loading for good first impressions
      • Expected Impact: Highest traffic, best for brand awareness and discovery
    Product Pages
  • Best for: Product-specific content and social proof
  • Widget Recommendations:
    • Reels: Product demonstrations, styling tips, reviews
    • Stories: Related products, size guides, care instructions
    • Floats: Customer reviews, warranty information Placement Tips:
    • Position near product images or description
    • Show content relevant to the specific product

    Collection Pages
  • Best for: Category-specific content and cross-selling Widget Recommendations:

    • Showcase variety within the collection

Step-by-Step Page Selection
  1. Access Page Assignment
    • In your playlist, click the “Show On Pages” tab to see all available pages.
  2. Review Page List
    • Pages are displayed with:
    • Page Name: The title of the page
    • Page URL: The web address
    • Traffic Indicator: Relative traffic volume
    • Current Status: Whether widgets are already installed
  3. Select Target Pages
    • Check the boxes next to pages where you want to display this playlist:
    • Start with high-traffic pages for maximum impact
    • Consider the content relevance to each page
    • Think about customer journey and page purpose
  4. Confirm Selections
    • Review your selected pages before proceeding to installation.
