# Selecting Pages

> Choose which pages of your store will display your Vinci Tools Video Carousel widgets. Strategic page selection maximizes visibility and engagement while providing the best customer experience.

## **Understanding Page Assignment**

Page assignment determines where your playlists appear on your Shopify store. Each playlist can be displayed on multiple pages, and each page can host multiple widgets of different types.

**How Page Assignment Works**

1. **Select Your Playlist**
   * Navigate to the playlist you want to display on your store pages.
2. **Access Page Assignment**
   * Click the **“Show On Pages”** tab in your playlist interface.
3. **Choose Target Pages**
   * Select from your store’s available pages using checkboxes.
4. **Install in Theme Editor**
   * Use the **”+ Add Section in theme editor”** button to add widgets to your theme.
5. **Verify Installation**
   * Check that your widgets appear correctly on the selected pages. Vinci Tools Video Carousel is a Shopify app that helps merchants:

## **Available Page Types**

Your Shopify store has several types of pages where widgets can be displayed:

**Homepage**

* **Best for**: Maximum visibility and brand introduction
* **Widget Recommendations**:

  * **Reels**: Featured product demonstrations
  * **Stories**: New arrivals or seasonal highlights
  * **Floats**: Ongoing promotions or brand storytelling
  * **Placement Tips**:
    * Position above the fold for immediate visibility
    * Use your most engaging content
    * Ensure fast loading for good first impressions
    * **Expected Impact**: Highest traffic, best for brand awareness and discovery

  **Product Pages**
* **Best for**: Product-specific content and social proof
* **Widget Recommendations**:

  * **Reels**: Product demonstrations, styling tips, reviews
  * **Stories**: Related products, size guides, care instructions
  * **Floats**: Customer reviews, warranty information **Placement Tips**:
  * Position near product images or description
  * Show content relevant to the specific product
  * Include customer-generated content for social proof **Expected Impact**: High conversion potential, builds product confidence

  **Collection Pages**
* **Best for**: Category-specific content and cross-selling **Widget Recommendations**:

  * **Reels**: Category overviews, styling inspiration
  * **Stories**: Featured products from the collection
  * **Floats**: Collection highlights, seasonal themes **Placement Tips**:
  * Position above or between product grids
  * Showcase variety within the collection
  * Help customers discover products they might miss **Expected Impact**: Increased browse time, higher average order value

  **Custom Pages**
* **Best for**: Targeted campaigns and specific messaging **Examples**: About Us, Brand Story, Size Guide, FAQ **Widget Recommendations**:
  * **Reels**: Behind-the-scenes, company culture, tutorials
  * **Stories**: Team introductions, process explanations
  * **Floats**: Contact information, support resources **Placement Tips**:
  * Complement the page’s primary content
  * Provide visual breaks in text-heavy pages

**Step-by-Step Page Selection**

1. **Access Page Assignment**
   * In your playlist, click the **“Show On Pages”** tab to see all available pages.
2. **Review Page List**
   * Pages are displayed with:
   * **Page Name**: The title of the page
   * **Page URL**: The web address
   * **Traffic Indicator**: Relative traffic volume
   * **Current Status**: Whether widgets are already installed
3. **Select Target Pages**
   * Check the boxes next to pages where you want to display this playlist:
   * Start with high-traffic pages for maximum impact
   * Consider the content relevance to each page
   * Think about customer journey and page purpose
4. **Confirm Selections**
   * Review your selected pages before proceeding to installation.
